My name is Julia Stege and I create art that reflects the beauty and magic of creation, inspired by the landscapes and colors of my California home. When you experience my art, I want you to feel the energy and movement that inspired me to paint the scene. There is joy and purpose in nature, and I aim to express that and share my rapture with all who view my paintings.
My style is a blend of Fauvism, Impressionism, Abstract Art, Expressionism, Modernism, Shamanism, Tonalism and Illustration. I went to art school twice to receive a BFA from Syracuse University and an MFA from Northern Illinois University, and I have 40 years of experience as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator. While I have painted since childhood, I became prolific starting in 2016, developing a body of work that has delighted thousands on Facebook and Pinterest.
